PERMANENT EXHIBIT
WHAT DOES PHYSICS HAVE TO DO WITH MOVEMENT?
Why do spintops keep spinning? Can sounds move things? Who has the fastest reaction time? Get to the bottom of these and other questions in the exhibit areas: Getting Started, Moving Mass, Rotation, Moving Machines, Fast Nature, Moving Yourself, Moving Something, People Power, Thinking in Moving and Sports. Look forward to a multitude of interactive exhibits where you can learn about the world science and have fun!
Among other things, these exciting questions await you:
How high can you jump?
Try it out and watch your jump with the “leap in time” as a 360° movie!
Which forces are at work on a roller coaster?
Experience in which curves the “roller coaster” gathers the most speed.
Why do objects move as if by magic?
See how “vibrational travel” can move different objects by vibration alone.
Which sports excite you?
Combine the accessories of your favourite sports with the “movement type” and let it take photos!
How does your body move to music?
Find out how your upper body and your legs move to the beat of the music on the “vibration lounger”!
KNOWLEDGE CLIPS
What do sports have to do with physics?
Want to know more about the exhibits and their phenomena? Come into the Dynamikum and take a look at the world of science from our physicist and Youtuber Phil from Phil’s Physics. Expect exciting experiments and surprising insights into the physical and technical laws of everyday and sporting activities.
KNOWLEDGE COURSE IN STRECKTAL PARK
EXPERIMENT IN THE FRESH AIR
The experiment continues in front of the Dynamikum: 13 outdoor exhibits on the subject of flying offer playful discovery. The knowledge course in Strecktal Park picks up on the theme of movement in the Dynamikum and continues it outside with sporting activities and physical experiments. Test your jumping power, float like a bird over lush green, spread your wings and much more!
HOW MANY THROWS WILL YOU NEED TO FINISH?
Just like in regular golf, the goal here is to complete the course with as few throws as possible. You don’t play with a club and ball, however, but a Frisbee. Instead of a hole, the target is a basket. Players of all ages can test their skills and talents in the fresh air on 15 holes. The new sport DiscGolf is a fun game that offers sense of achievement!
AN OASIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY
Rest, sports and discoveries wait for you in Strecktal Park. Spanned by the draw bridge, the valley and its diverse offerings invite you to linger. From lawns, picnic areas, the natural pond and a Tuscan scented garden to a water playground, volleyball courts, inline skates and street ball and a water treadle – Strecktal Park has it all, in the heart of the city. Play equipment like balls, hula hoops or skipping ropes can be borrowed from the tourist information office.
